On April 16, BTS wrapped up the second and final week of ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LAS VEGAS’. The short residency, held at Allegiant Stadium, brought hundreds of thousands of ARMY (including us!) to Sin City, turning the Strip purple with the many BTS-themed events that were held.
The in-person concerts over four days were attended by an incredible amount of 200,000 people - making BTS the first group act to sell over 200,000 tickets to the stadium! The performances also received online viewers via live stream, reaching approximately 402,000 people from 182 countries/regions on the final day, April 16.
Some of the purple-studded events that appeared in Las Vegas during the two-week period that BTS was in the city included a pop-up following the band’s history at Area15; Korean food served at Seabreeze Cafe and Noodle Shop in Mandalay Bay; and the world-famous Bellagio Fountains water show playing BTS’ “Butter” and “Dynamite” as part of the aquatic production.
We at KORE also celebrated the momentous event with a pop-up in Suite 160 in Mandalay Bay, featuring a special purple theme in honor of BTS. We also dropped a special Vegas Pop-up collection with new colorways for our best sellers, as well as many other perks for our customers during the event.
One of these perks was our Photo Op section, which featured a backdrop showing off the Seoul nightlife to give our customers a taste of Korea. Every purchase was also hand-wrapped with a bojagi, a traditional Korean wrapping cloth traditionally used for gifts. This was an especially important aspect of our pop-up to have as we wanted to thank you, our KORE FAM.
We also held giveaways of BTS concert tickets and Army bomb light sticks to show our appreciation to our customers and BTS fans. The pop-up saw so much success that we sold out of all the designs we had at the store!
As this was our first official event in 2.5 years due to COVID-19 restrictions, we were overwhelmed with the love and support that we received from both new and old members of the KORE FAM. It was amazing speaking to everyone and learning what KORELIMITED means to you. We even got to reunite with some OGs who purchased our first generation designs!
With the huge success of our Las Vegas pop-up, we couldn’t help but be reminded of our roots and how far we have come. Everything that we have done in the last 9 years led up to this moment, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your constant love and appreciation for our brand. This is only the latest milestone in our journey as a brand, and we can’t wait to see what we get to experience next with our KORE FAM!
