KORE X WCSP COLLABORATION

This is a limited edition piece in collaboration with streetwear brand, WCSP. This special cut and sew piece features the 교련복 (Gyo ryeon bok) pattern.

교련복 (Gyo ryeon bok) is a Korean camo uniform that students wore for drill class during the 70s and 80s.

The drill class was introduced in schools after January 1, 1968 where North Korea sent people to assassinate President Park Jung Hee. All schools were required to have this class.

At the time, male students were required to take the class to prepare them to learn to fight in a war in case an emergency were to happen. Men learned combat skills while women learned to be medics to treat the injured.

The drill class was removed from schools starting 1992.
